World Health Organization

The World Health Organization is the United Nations agency that leads on international public health, helping countries prevent, detect and respond to disease.

Delegates will look at two linked challenges: how the world can be ready for the next pandemic, and how to deal with “superbugs” — germs that no longer respond to the medicines, such as antibiotics, that used to kill them. Both require countries to share information, plan ahead and work together.
