The World Health Organization directs and coordinates international health work within the United Nations system, including responses to outbreaks and health emergencies.

After a conflict, laboratories may be damaged, health systems weakened and supply routes broken. Delegates will address how to keep dangerous pathogens contained, how to rebuild disease surveillance, and how to make sure medicines and equipment keep reaching people in fragile, post-conflict settings.
