World Food Programme

The World Food Programme is the United Nations agency that delivers food assistance to people in emergencies, including during wars and natural disasters.

In a war zone, roads may be blocked, dangerous or closed on purpose. A “humanitarian corridor” is an agreed safe route for aid to reach people who need it. Delegates will discuss how to agree, protect and keep these routes open so that food gets through.
